To this day I still have warm memories of being in grade school and going with my mom to the local drug store to pick out a box of Valentine cards to write out to my fellow classmates. In class, we would each decorate our own tissue paper box with heart cut-outs and patterned paper, then set it out on our desks to wait for the “mail” to come. At the end of the day we would open our boxes up to go through the assortment of cards, little envelopes of cinnamon hearts, and foil wrapped chocolate that we had received. Now that I’m “all grown up”, I still find V-day to be a great excuse for the over usage of red and pink and indulging in all sorts of heart-themed sweets! But who says that hearts and the colours of bold red and bright pink need to be put away right after February 14th? Here are some sweet ways of keeping up that little bit of love through out the rest of the year with your little one (Find all sources for images on my Nursery Pinterest board).
Gap’s heart ruffle one-piece swimsuit is really as cute in real life as it looks. I spotted this itty bitty cutie over the past weekend in a Gap Baby store, and even though we haven’t been able to find out the sex of our baby yet (He/she wasn’t in the ideal position during the last ultrasound), I was tempted to snatch this up!
Another easy nusery decorating idea that I am contemplating about after seeing it on fashion and lifestyle blog, The Doctor’s Closet.
