Luckily my grandson has no problem with using the potty. I think it’s because we’ve always put him on the big potty instead of using a little potty on the floor.

Did you ever ask your mom how she potty trained your sons so quickly? My son is 3 yrs. old and will pee in his potty sometimes, but he refuses to poop in there.

I wish I had a parent to send my son off to to get him potty trained. I think you are right boys are just hard headed. He will not do it.

Yeah we just had to back off of child # 3. We gave her some space and she gave us the gift of no more diapers!

Can your nana borrow my son for the weekend?? He’s two and it seems like he still has NO clue that he even pee’s… He’s deathly afraid of his ‘potty’ and even more afraid of ours. How will I ever train him!
Good Idea though giving him to someone else… I’ll have to try that. My mom always boasts about how my brother and I were trained about the time or slightly before we turned two. It makes me think that they’re just remembering incorrectly.

Potty training is often a struggle. I found that we attempted several times before it seemed to stick. Congratulations on finding success. Celebrate and do the potty dance!

Oh my goodness, I feel the pain! My daughter potty trained so easily but my next born was a boy and he didn’t completely potty train until a few months after turning age 4. It was near a nightmare and now my 2 year old son is next in line for potty training, looks like it is going to be a repeat of his brother. LOL Great article!

I’m still in the process of potty training and find that sometimes you do need to change the “scene” to get your child to pay more attention. Thanks for posting.
