Movie Review: Toy Story 3 (3D)

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a sportsaholic. Anything sports related on TV I watch, and any local sports event I’m there. But when it comes to movies, I can’t say I’m anywhere near the same way. Going to the theatre to see Toy Story 3 in 3D wasn’t my typical viewing pleasure, but I have to tell you that this movie, in my mind, is a must see. Without giving away too many details, this is an animated movie about the life of toys who are no longer played with because their owner went away to university. The 3D version of the movie really makes the characters come to life and jump out at you on the big screen. If you have seen the first two Toy Stories, you will be familiar with the main characters such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the gang. Toy Story 3 has some new characters and plot twists that are fun for both kids and adults.
For someone who isn’t the biggest movie fan, I say that this was one of my favourite movies that I’ve seen in a long time. It was witty, funny, cute and highly entertaining. It also wasn’t super long (which I find that many animated movies are these days).
I give it 4.5/5 stars and recommend that you see it while it’s still in theatres!
With a review like that, it would be wrong not to see it. Toy Story here I come!
We took Danika to see it (our 2 year old) and we all loved it. It was so cute because she laughed so loud at the funny parts.-Sarah
